I've read so many stories about this platform. As a young kid, I saw one of the evening magazine "odd story" bits on it on TV. In highschool we discussed it in a history class on the issue of sovereignty. I read an article about it in WIRED magazine when they were trying to wire it as a hosting center for off-shore gambling. I think I may have read an Economist story about it too. That little platform is the story that never dies. I know they were trying to get UN recognition. Crazy. More power to them.
